Supporting Communities
Strong communities are critical because they are an important source of social connection and create a sense of belonging. Participating in a community bonded by faith, attitudes and common values is essential as it enables individuals to flourish.
At BWCAT we are proud to contribute to a range of local, national and international charities, taking into account our responsibilities towards the wider world. Fundraising events take place throughout the year at form, year group and whole school level.
We support a wide range of local, national and international organisations, including:
- - Local Food Banks
- - CAFOD
- - Martin House
- - St Gemma’s Hospice
- - Catholic Care
- - Macmillan
The charitable activities organised by the school throughout the year are greatly valued by the pupils, parents - St Mary’s Knaresborough Section 48 Inspection Report
Pupils understand what it means to have a vocation and can give examples of when
they have served the school or community. – St Mary’s Menston Section 48 Inspection Report
